Some tips to perfecting the T-Shirt look:
- If any of these words is written on the label of a T-Shirt, you know you're in for a winner.
- The image to the left is "slim fit" and the image to the right has a "tailored fit". I've tried to pick images that show guys of a similar build, because you could be fooled into thinking that "slim fit" is better. As a general rule, if you're built like a tank then go for slim fit, if not go for tailored.
2. Neck lines.
- This image to the left describes the common necklines on T-Shirts. This image is exactly correct!
- "V-necks"tend to project a more streamlined figure than "Crew necks", but actually if it's well cut to your body it won't make a huge difference. The "Douchebag neck" may technically be even more streamlining, but people will laugh at you.
3. Colours.- David Gandy knows how to rock a T-Shirt! One of the reasons he always looks great though is because he knows about colours.
- The red from his trousers not only coordinates with his car (which is stunning), but also with the logo on his T-shirt.
- When you pick out a T-Shirt, try to think about what you'll be wearing it with and as always keep it simple!
- On a similar note, try to keep away from bold patterns and screen prints. These can look great on the beach with a pair of shorts, but otherwise try to keep away from these, because they're a bit of a nightmare to coordinate.
4. Brands.
- Brands are great for some stuff, but I'm a believer that you don't need to cover yourself with them to look good. When it comes to T-Shirts, you can buy a great one for £10 and under, but as soon as you add the Dolce and Gabbana or Giorgio Armani premium you end up spending a massive amount. Also, most T-shirts don't have a very good life span, so don't blow your wallet on them.
5. Jeans and a T-Shirt are sexy. That's all you need to know.
